DANVERS, Massachusetts (November 11, 2014) – Toledo, Ohio-based Truenorth Energy, LLC has joined with The Nexxus Group, the industry-leading provider of Scan Based Trading solutions.
The Nexxus Group’s proprietary Scan Based Trading tools will be used to manage product sales at more than 100 Truenorth Energy branded convenience stores in Ohio and Illinois. The program takes effect January 12, 2015.
Established in 1999, Truenorth Energy, LLC is a joint venture between The Lyden Company and Shell Oil Company. Lyden Oil was founded in 1919 as a bulk fuel delivery business. By 1969 the company had grown to 150 service stations and it opened its first convenience store, the Fast Check Food Mart, in 1982.
The Lyden Company maintained an 80-year relationship with now-defunct Amoco prior to entering into the partnership with Shell. Today Truenorth Energy, LLC is under the direction of CEO W. Geoffrey Lyden and President Mark Lyden.
